During the consultation, the hairstylist will draw up a complex treatment plan based on the type of hair loss, hair follicle examination, and hair growth phase, as well as scalp diagnosis.

Based on the type of hair loss you have/are experiencing hair loss, the probable causes of hair loss such as physical and mental fatigue, previous or existing illness, malabsorption, hormonal problems, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, inadequate scalp and hair care, etc.

Laser hair loss treatment can be used to treat cases of androgenetic alopecia, i.e. male pattern hair loss, and alopecia areata, i.e. patchy hair loss or telogen effluvium.
Androgenic alopecia is a genetic condition that mostly affects men but also occurs in women. Men can develop male pattern baldness up to their early 20s when hair gradually thins starting from the forehead and/or the crown of the head. In women, androgen-induced hair loss is different, with hair thinning over the entire scalp, particularly in the hairline, in the scalp area. The causes of alopecia areata, or patchy hair loss, are unknown, but it results in completely scarred, round, or oval patches on the scalp. Telogen effluvium is a condition associated with temporary hair loss and thinning of the hair follicles, in which a larger than a normal number of hair follicles become dormant.

During the consultation, the nutrient supply to the hair follicles, and the length, and the structure of the hair will be assessed, during which the hair therapist will also examine the effects on the hair (hair shampooing, chemical exposure, and analysis of hair hydration).

The next step is a blood test to get a clearer picture of the internal causes of hair loss. The blood test results and the results of the hair diagnostics will be used to finalize the treatment plan.
