Sometimes, our injuries and skin imperfections fade naturally. But sometimes, it happens that our external scars are just painful, everyday reminders of our past, and they just won't fade and heal nicely. Whether it is an accident or an acne-originated scar, traces of an operation, the results often lead to problems with one's self-esteem and loss of self-confidence, particularly, if the scar was sensitive or was in an easily visible area. Scar treatment can be a pivotal point in such cases.
The Alma-Q equipment applies skin rejuvenating and IPL technology, with a targeted effect, and this way, both the recent and the old scars can be faded out successfully.

Scarring is the skin's natural healing process following an injury. The body builds a protective layer from tissues around the injured skin, which, however, can be aesthetically displeasing. What types of scars can be treated with laser therapy? Hypertrophic scars rise above the level of the skin but do not exceed the size of the original injury. Initially, they are reddish in color, which fades over time, retracting but generally not disappearing completely. Keloid scars are bothersome, prominent, raised, and often discolored, wide scars, while atrophic scars are small, tissue-deficient depressions that sink below the level of the skin, typically remaining after acne.
The Oscar scar treatment with the Alma Hybrid laser is the "ultimate" in scar treatments. Thanks to the adjustable depth of the laser energy, it works even in the deeper layers of the skin and can completely remove your scars according to your individual needs. The Oscar scar treatment is used for older scars, whether they are surgical or traumatic scars, or the discomfort caused by acne scars. The Oscar scar treatment can be supplemented with ultrasonic active ingredient delivery, which is made possible by the Alma Hybrid's professional active ingredient delivery system.
Fresh surgical scars are treated using a combination of the laser energy from the Lumenis M22 or the Alma Hybrid and the Lumenis IPL devices. However, it is important that laser treatment for scars can only begin at the earliest 2 months after surgery.

Laser scar treatment is suitable for the treatment of surgical scars.

The Alma Hybrid laser scar treatment is the most advanced procedure.

How is a laser used to treat scars?
Before the laser treatment, during the consultation, your aesthetic consultant creates a personalized treatment plan for you based on the type and size of the injury, as well as the degree of healing. Fresh surgical scars are treated with a combination of Lumenis M22 ResurFix non-ablative laser energy, the Alma Hybrid 1570 nm skin resurfacing laser, and Lumenis IPL (flash light). Older scars are treated with the Alma Hybrid combined laser, which combines ablative and non-ablative laser energy (1570 nm and Co2 laser), as well as Alma Hybrid Impact medical active ingredient intake. During the active ingredient intake, the microinjuries caused by the laser transport the various skin regenerating active ingredients into the skin's deep layers.
Before the treatment, our expert medical assistants apply a local anesthetic cream, and a special cooling system ensures comfortable treatments; you will only feel a tingling, warm sensation when the laser is directed to the skin. The treatments last about 15 minutes and are divided into four sessions, after which the scars will fade.
Only a few weeks should pass between treatments; the improvement will occur gradually throughout the treatment series, with the treated scar becoming fainter and lighter. The treated area should be shielded from sunlight, sweat, and irritation. We do not recommend using the solarium following treatments or in between treatments. It is not recommended to use the sauna immediately after the treatment; however, depending on the rate of recovery, the sauna can be used in the second week after the treatment.
For the most effective results, your aesthetic consultant will prepare a tailor-made treatment plan for you, this way the exact price of scar treatment will be calculated for you at the complimentary consultation.
