Consultation with a plastic surgeon: Your plastic surgeon and an aesthetic consultant will be with you during the blepharoplasty procedure. During your initial consultation, you will discuss the expected results of the procedure as well as if it is worthwhile to combine it with any additional face rejuvenation interventions.
Surgical procedure: Examinations prior to surgery are performed on-site; your cosmetic consultant will assist you in organizing appointments and preparing for surgery. The surgery will take 1 to 3 hours and will be performed under local or general anesthesia at our private clinic in Buda. The technique used and the length of the intervention are determined by whether the upper or lower, right, left or both eyelids are to be operated on.
During blepharoplasty, your plastic surgeon will make an incision on the upper eyelid, beginning at the inner corner of the eye and moving along the row of eyelashes to the outer corner of the eye, where natural creases appear. The incision on the lower eyelid begins directly under the row of eyelashes from the inner corner to the outer corner and continues in the natural wrinkles.
After blepharoplasty, you will need to stay in the hospital for a few hours to be monitored, which you can spend relaxing in a pleasant room. You are permitted to leave the hospital with an attendant on the day of the surgery.
If your cosmetic surgeon feels it necessary, you may be required to stay in the hospital for one night. Then you'll spend the night in a luxurious setting, in an air-conditioned room with a bathroom.
