Consultation with a plastic surgeon: At your first consultation, with your plastic surgeon you will discuss the results that you and he are expecting from the surgery. For an even more perfect result, during the surgery, facial reconstruction can be combined with other facial rejuvenation treatments.
Your plastic surgeon and your aesthetic consultant will be at your side all along with the preparations for the facial reconstruction and throughout the follow-up examinations, to ensure trouble-free recovery and the best results as soon as possible.
Surgical procedure: Examinations prior to intervention are performed on the premises, your aesthetic consultant will help you with making the appointments and with the preparations. The surgery that takes no more than 2 to 3 hours, under general anesthesia, will take place at our private clinic in Buda.
In the course of the facial reconstruction, your plastic surgeon will make a surgical incision in the hairy skin of the head, in front of and behind the ear, and in the nuchal area, again in the hairy skin, mostly in inconspicuous places. After facial reconstruction: After facial reconstruction, a flexible mask and a compression bandage will be placed on you to reduce swelling and help to heal. Your doctor will remove the compression bandage usually after 1 week. However, the effects of facial reconstruction are immediately visible, for the final results you need to wait for about 6 weeks. We recommend that you keep wearing the mask at night during this period of time.
In the first month following facial reconstruction you have to stay away from doing intensive sports, leaning forward, smoking, exposure to sunlight, and any activities that increase blood pressure.
